Here's a breakdown of what we're encouraging you to wear each day in order to promote the show and do a little cast bonding. Spirit days are a great opportunity to talk up the show, because people may ask you why you're wearing what you're wearing, and that's a great conversation starter!

A couple of ground rules for spirit days: you cannot wear anything that would not normally be considered school appropriate, and no matter what, the school dress code overrides our spirit days. For example, if your costume involves a hat, a teacher may ask you to remove it during class and you must do so. Also, actors: you cannot use ANY part of your costume for a spirit day. Once your costume pieces are here, we ask that they remain untouched with the exception of dress rehearsals and performances. This keeps your stuff safe and easy to locate for the show.

FRIDAY 11/13: First or Favorite T-Shirt Day
This is an opportunity for GL theatre alums to show off past shirts from their first or favorite GL show, and for newcomers to debut the "Harvey" shirts!

MONDAY 11/16: Rabbit Day
Need I say more? If you need suggestions on how to bunny yourself, contact Cilantro (Kristen Santullo) - I guarantee she has good ideas.

TUESDAY 11/17: Director Day
Dress like your favorite director (jk, we know you can't pick favorites because everyone's so awesome). But really, dress like one of the adults in charge here -- for example, you can be Elefante, Voorhees, Riley, Miceli, Talarico, or wear plaid and suspenders in Stiefel's memory. In recent years, stage managers have also been fair game, so if you want to go the Cilantro route, you can.

WEDNESDAY 11/18: Friendsday Wednesday
Time to bond with the person/people in your scene! Chat with the other actor(s) in your scene and decide on something you guys can wear that is matching or at least coordinated. You can choose a color, a specific article of clothing, whatever works! Crew folks, just choose a friend or two to match.

THURSDAY 11/19 (OPENING NIGHT!): Formal Day
Here at GL, we treat opening night like a red carpet affair and dress up! Ladies, dresses, skirts/dressy pants and shirts are all fine. Gentlemen, we've seen everything from khakis and collared shirts to tuxedos.

FRIDAY 11/20: Harvey T-Shirt Day
