Hi, all --

It will soon be time for SPIRIT DAYS! Here's a breakdown of what we're
encouraging you to wear each day in order to promote the show and do a
little cast & crew bonding. Spirit days are a great opportunity to talk up
the show, because people may ask you why you're wearing what you're
wearing, and that's a great conversation starter!

*I'm posting this early so you can plan ahead, but as always, these days
are subject to change. If we adjust anything, we'll let you know as soon as
possible.*

A couple of ground rules for spirit days: you cannot wear anything that
would not normally be considered school appropriate, and no matter what,
the school dress code overrides our spirit days. For example, if your
costume involves a hat, a teacher may ask you to remove it during class and
you must do so. Also, actors: you cannot use ANY part of your costume for a
spirit day. Once your costume pieces are here, we ask that they remain
untouched with the exception of dress rehearsals and performances. This
keeps your stuff safe and easy to locate for the show.

Spirit Days:

Wednesday 11/8: First or Favorite GL Theatre Shirt
Celebrate your Hilltop Players spirit by wearing your first or favorite GL
theatre shirt - for some of you, that's Suite Surrender (assuming we have
the shirts by then). Let's get a variety of Hilltop shirts going to start
some dialogue about the upcoming show!

Monday 11/13: #PurpleCast & Crew Day
Represent your Red/Blue cast unity by wearing as much Purple as possible!

Tuesday 11/14: Celebrity Day
Be inspired by Athena and Claudia's diva status and dress as a celebrity!
You can be more of a general celebrity (ex. famous 1940s performer) or
someone specific from pop culture (ex. Beyonce).

Wednesday 11/15: Friendsday Wednesday
Choose a friend or two and wear something matching or at least coordinated!
Actors, you could reach out to your counterpart in the opposite cast (i.e.
Athenas, Claudias, Pippets...) and plan something together to help promote
awareness of the two casts for the show.

Thursday 11/16: Formal Day
Here at GL, we treat opening night like a red carpet affair and dress up!
Ladies, dresses, skirts/dressy pants and shirts are all fine. Gentlemen,
we've seen everything from khakis to collared shirts to tuxedos.

Friday 11/17: Suite Surrender T-Shirt Day
